Avon & Somerset Local Justice Awards 2008

Do you know someone who goes that Extra Mile and deserves recognition? The nomination stage is now open for the 2008 Avon and Somerset Local Justice Awards. Individuals or teams who have made an outstanding achievement or significant contribution to criminal justice are eligible to receive awards and may be nominated for any one or more of this year's 12 categories. Recipients can be individual members of the community or community groups, as well as those working or volunteering in the Criminal Justice System in the Avon and Somerset region.
These include:
• The Police
• Crown Prosecution Service
• Her Majesty's Court Service (including Magistrates' and Crown Court)
• Her Majesty's Prison Service
• National Probation Service
• Youth Justice System
• Criminal Defence Service (including the Public Defender Service)
and
• Any other organisation or body connected with criminal justice; e.g. the Revenue and Customs Prosecution Office, Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships or Community Safety Partnerships.
